Valencia High girls volleyball player Celeste Chen letter three years for longtime coach James Thorne, and received first-team All-Empire League laurels this winter for her play at libero. "We'll miss the things she brings on the court: her talent, her passing, her defense," Thorne said. "But she's such a great, hard-working kid, too. We're losing our prime example of a student-athlete."
