Purpose:  To encourage and recognize scientific and intelllectual thought, advance student knowledge of classical and odern science, communicate with the scientific community, aid the community with teh comprehension of science, encourage students to participate in communicty service, and encourage the pursuit of scientific knowledge that benefits all humankind.
