Welcome Tigers!

Hi Tigers, my name is Mr. Truong, one of your assistant principals, and I'm excited to kick off the 2023-24 school year! After graduating from Valencia, Class of 2003, I went on to study at UCLA, receiving my B.A. in Political Science and then my teaching credential from Cal State Fullerton. 

I had the joy of teaching science at Valencia for 7 years, teaching Chemistry Honors, Biology, AP/IB Biology, and coaching Science Olympiad. I worked as a science instructional coach for 2 years, focusing on integrating more sensemaking of phenomena into science coursework.

I work with our successful academy programs: Cambridge, IB, and Val Tech which provide wonderful opportunities for students to access rigorous and relevant curricula and build their work experiences.
