We encourage at least one parent of each Valencia student to become a member of the Valencia High School Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA). This is a great opportunity to remain active in your student’s school life.

 

A small portion of your membership fee is sent to the state and national PTSA organizations to finance parenting resources, educational efforts for students and teachers, on-line resources, and scholarships created for students, teachers and school nurses. These examples are just some of the many functions of the PTSA. (Log onto the state pta or national pta websites if you would like to find out more about the PTSA.) The majority of your the membership fee is used to provide student scholarships, teacher grants, and an annual gift to the school.

 

You can also choose to become an active member of the PTSA by attending the monthly PTSA Board meetings. This will lead to an increased awareness of on-campus programs, activities and events, as well as other information provided by our teacher or student representatives.

 

There are also opportunities for you to donate food items and/or volunteer your time at PTSA sponsored events throughout the year.

 

Senior students must be members of our PTSA in order to be eligible to apply for the annual scholarships awarded by the VHS PTSA.
