Welcome!  I completed my undergraduate degree at Cal State Long Beach with a major in Human Development then went to Chapman University where I completed my Masters Degree and Pupil Personnel Services Credential in Education with an emphasis in School Counseling. Upon graduation from Chapman in 2006, I began counseling with Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District and am in my 18th year of counseling, 15 of which have been at Valencia. Having grown up in the Placentia-Yorba Linda School District, I am ecstatic about giving back to the community that gave so much to me. Prior to starting my counseling career, I have worked with students in a variety of settings including many years of working in childcare to working in a group home.
 
For the 2023-24 school year my caseload includes all students in the IB program, IB/Val Tech (Dual programs) and students with the last names starting ROJ- S. My goal is to help our students reach their highest potential and for all our students to have success both in and out of the classroom.
 
My husband and I live here in Placentia with our three young boys (oldest is 7 and twins are almost 6) and we love playing sports and exploring the outdoors with them! Seeing the world through their eyes makes me appreciate each moment and reminds me of our individuality.
