Hello Tigers, 

My name is Paola Suchsland, and I am excited and honored to be your Assistant Principal.  I have 18 years of experience as a Spanish teacher and one year-long role as both an Attendance TOSA (Teacher on Special Assignment) at Valencia High School and also a Student Service TOSA at the district level.

I am bilingual and passionate about supporting our staff, students, and parents. I graduated from CSUF with a major in Spanish; I have two Master's degrees, one in Education and the other in Administration and Supervision, from Chapman University and the University of Phoenix, respectively.

I have always loved the diversity of Valencia High School.  To this end, I’m happy to share that among having traveled to many countries, I have also taught summer school in China and Vietnam; it was a remarkable experience, and I learned a great deal about what school is like in other countries.  I have also been a student taking courses abroad at the Universidad de Madrid and Universidad de Salamanca during the summer.

In my free time, I love to hike, enjoy time with family, and travel abroad with my husband and three children.

Mi nombre es Paola Suchsland y estoy emocionada y honrada de ser su Subdirectora. Tengo 18 años de experiencia como profesora de español y un año de experiencia en el cargo de TOSA de Asistencia (Profesora en Asignación Especial) en Valencia High School, así como un año como TOSA de Servicio Estudiantil a nivel de distrito.

Soy bilingüe y tengo una gran pasión por apoyar a nuestro personal, estudiantes y padres. Me gradué de CSUF con una especialización en español; tengo dos maestrías, una en Educación y otra en Administración y Supervisión, de Chapman University y la Universidad de Phoenix, respectivamente.

Siempre he admirado la diversidad en Valencia High School. En ese sentido, estoy feliz de compartir que, además de haber viajado a muchos países, también he enseñado en escuelas de verano en China y Vietnam; fue una experiencia extraordinaria y aprendí mucho sobre cómo es la educación en otros países. También he sido estudiante tomando cursos en el extranjero en la Universidad de Madrid y la Universidad de Salamanca durante el verano.

En mi tiempo libre, me encanta hacer senderismo, disfrutar del tiempo en familia y viajar al extranjero con mi esposo y mis tres hijos.
