Starting my 29th year teaching at Valencia High School; I teach IT Essentials (A+ Certification Prep), Networking Support and Administration 1(H) (Network+ certification prep)(CIDI-1), Networking Support and Administration 2(H) -(CCNA certification prep)(CIDI-2), Digital Security+(H)(Security+ certification prep), Cyber Security - H (Cyber Competition prep), and I am lucky enough to teach middle school students robotics in our bridge partnership with Kraemer Middle School. I have been a Cisco Networking Academy Instructor for 28 years and offer all Cisco course work to all students. This gives them the hands on experience to get ahead in the IT field. I have also taught business math and accounting, as well as Introduction to Mechatronics. I am also one of four CyberPatriot Coaches for both Valencia High School and Kraemer Middle School. I am an alumnus of Valencia High School class of 1984.

Our students learn real world skills through hands on project based learning. We also have the NETLAB+ environment from the Network Development Group, which allows our students access to virtual and hands on skill building labs, across multiple disciplines within the Information Communication Technology CTE Pathway.

Valencia / Kraemer Cyber Club

About

The Valencia / Kraemer cyber club is a group of students focusing on the study of Cyber Defense. These students work together to perepare for competitions and in turn careers in the fast growing Cyber Security market. This club is a student run organization that focuses on the training of all students to prepare the next generation of Cyber Defenders. on. No prior experience is required, just a willingnes to learn, contribute to a team and a great attitude!

Compete

Secure and exploit systems in national and regional cyber events. These competitions aim to provide a safe place to practice white hat hacking and Cyber Defense. Events include Cyberpatriots, Socal Cyber Cup, Red Blue Team and Pico CTF.
