Hello Tigers/Parents/Guardians,

 

My name is Raymond Martin and I currently teach  AP European History, AVID, and World History I've also taught U.S. Government, Economics, and English Language Development. I've been teaching at VHS since the 2021-2022 school year and I've been working for the Placentia-Yorba Linda School District since 2016. 

 

During my time at Cal State Fullerton I studied and specialized in World History, especially in Latin American and European eras. I studied abroad in Salamanca, Spain (2010), and I've been lucky to have traveled to many countries around the world, which has only enriched my lessons and connections with students.

 

I believe the social studies, especially history, is one of our greatest avenues to create cultural and mutual understanding and I'm dedicated to creating life-long learners and critical thinking young adults. I look forward to positively impacting Valencia Tigers for years to come!
